1. Beko BDIN38440
This cheap built-in dishwasher from Beko has room for fourteen so-called place settings. It is useful when you have extra diners because all plates, (soup) bowls, cups, and cutlery fit easily in the BDIN38440. The manufacturer supplies a removable basket for knives, spoons, and forks. Handy for loading and unloading. If you have an open (living) kitchen, the low noise level of 44 decibels is a plus. A red light shines on the floor, indicating the dishwasher’s status. This shows you whether the washing cycle is still running.
Shortly after the selected washing program has finished, the door opens automatically. This allows moisture to escape from the dishwasher. The advantage of this is that you do not have to dry plastic plates and bread boxes afterward, for example. Did you forget to turn on the appliance? Then start the so-called Fast+ program and have clean dishes again in no time. Alternatively, you can also activate an energy-saving or extra hot washing cycle. The Beko BDIN38440 fits in a standard niche size of sixty centimeters, so you can integrate it into most kitchens.
2. Inventum IVW6008A
You probably won’t find a cheaper built-in dishwasher anytime soon. Moreover, the Inventum IVW6008A has a good reputation. Dozens of consumers give it an average rating of 8.4. Frequently mentioned advantages are the easy operation and the spacious interior, which has space for thirteen place settings. According to various reviewers, you can also easily build this appliance. Opinions are divided about the volume level of 45 decibels. One person finds this dishwasher quiet, while the other experiences some noise nuisance.
As soon as you open the white door, you will see a modest control panel on the upper edge. Here you can choose between six programs. If you have a few dishes to wash, switch on the Half load option. This will make the washing cycle run faster. It also saves water. For solar panel owners, the start delay function is a godsend. Delay the start by three, 6, or nine hours, and choose a time when the panels generate power. The IVW6008A has a flexible layout. For example, adjust the top drawer so that you can store tall pans at the bottom. Inventum gives a five-year warranty on its products.
3. Bosch SMV46KX55E
The widely available Bosch SMV46KX55E has the lowest price ever at the time of writing. Although the German white goods specialist uses a price of 879 euros in its webshop, several webshops are diving below the five hundred euro limit. Compared to most other dishwashers in this price range, this model has a cutlery drawer at the top. Favorable, because thanks to three loading levels you can place a lot of dirty plates, pans, and glasses. In addition to cutlery, the top drawer also fits small coffee cups.
Despite the relatively low purchase price, this luxury dishwasher has an extensive control panel includinga display. For example, if you place pans with (baked-on) food remains, the extra hot wash cycle of seventy degrees comes in handy. You can also choose an energy-efficient or short (one-hour) program. There is also an option to have the dishwasher clean automatically. You can postpone the start of a selected wash cycle if necessary and see from the LED spot on the floor to what extent the SMV46KX55E is still busy. With a specified noise level of 44 decibels, this appliance hardly makes any noise.
4. ETNA VW640N
For a dishwasher in this price range, the recently released ETNA VW640N has a low energy consumption. After a hundred cycles, you can count on a consumption of only 75 kilowatt hours. Due to the low noise level of forty decibels, this model is well suited for placement in an open (living) kitchen. A useful option is the built-in LED lighting. This makes it easy to load and unload the dishwasher in the evening. There is room for fourteen place settings. Do you want to place large plates and/or pans? Then change the height of the top drawer. A basket is included for cutlery.
This dishwasher has many programs, such as Extra Fast, Extra Intensive, and Extra Dry. As an alternative to the latter wash cycle, the VW640N automatically opens the door at your request. This allows moist air to escape, allowing you to unload dry dishes. If the dishwasher is only half full, use the control panel to determine whether you want to wash only the top or bottom drawer.
5. Siemens SN61HX08VE
You can optionally connect the Siemens SN61HX08VE to an app so that you can follow the progress on a smartphone. Select a program remotely and switch on the appliance. When you are near the dishwasher, you can see from the blue-lit LED spot on the floor to what extent the washing program is still running. Are you bothered by the noise, for example, because you want to read an interesting newspaper article? In that case, activate the silent mode for half an hour. Incidentally, the regular noise level is 46 decibels.
The SN61HX08VE has all the usual programs, such as an energy-saving and fast mode. A valuable addition is that you can choose your favorite settings. In the future, activate a customized cycle with one push of a button. In addition, the automatic dishwashing program is worth mentioning. A sensor measures the degree of dirt in the rinse water, after which the temperature and amount of water are adjusted. This way, exactly the right amount of water is used! This dishwasher has a capacity of thirteen place settings. Thanks to a separate cutlery drawer, you can divide the dirty dishes over three loading levels.
